LOUISIANA -- The Commerce
Department Wednesday rescinded an $80 million grant
to Louisiana to spread broadband in rural central
and northeastern parts of the state, complaining
that the Board of Regents' implementation plan was
way behind schedule, incomplete and unresponsive to
repeated requests for additional information.
