Another Year Where the Auth Can't Get It Right: Tonight's Budget Hearing Canceled

The law may have caught up with Mr. Berry. He has given no reason for canceling today's budget hearing and rescheduling it to the 26th. He continues to refuse to use the LSHA calendar to advise the public.
COLUMBIA COUNTY/LAKE CITY, FL – Lake Shore Hospital Authority Manager Jackson P. "Jack" Berry appears to have dropped the ball again. Tonight's budget hearing was suddenly canceled. Manager Berry did not advise the Observer. It is not clear who or what he advised.
As of Monday morning, there is no evidence on the Authority website that the Final Budget Hearing was canceled and rescheduled.
A little blurb buried in the print daily on Sunday stated that the hearing, the announcement didn't state that it was a budget hearing, had been rescheduled. The paper did not write when it received the notice.
The itty-bitty notice stated, "The hearing is now set for Sept. 26 at 5:15 p.m., according to LSHA Executive Director Jack Berry."
There have been no LSHA notices published in the Florida Public Notice website.
It is not clear if Manager Berry did not tell his friends at the newspaper why the budget hearing was canceled and rescheduled, or if they knew and weren't saying.
