Jim Cameron, a vice president with the Daytona Regional
Chamber of Commerce, said the business
community favors the move, which falls in line with
						proposals for consolidated emergency services
outlined by a consultant's study released last year by
						the Halifax Area Civic League.

"We see this as working hand in hand with the Civic
League proposal," Cameron told council members.
"We see this as more cost-effective but also a better
						service model. That's the key."
